Please note that there is a 4 box minimum for pick ups. There is no maximum limit. All boxes must be easily accessible on the first floor of the pick up location if there is no elevator access. Alternatively, boxes can be left outside (on the porch/driveway/stoop) for pick up during a set window of time.

All items must be boxed up prior to pick up. Boston Book Removal does NOT offer packing services at this time! Please do not use boxes that are larger than 16″ x 12″ x 12″. Bankers boxes, liquor boxes and moving boxes are recommended. If boxes are larger than 16″ x 12″ x 12″ in size, we will be unable to complete the pick up, and they will be left on-site.

We currently serve the cities and towns of Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Needham, Weston, West Roxbury, Wellesley, Jamaica Plain, Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Arlington, Medford, Belmont, Watertown, Milton, Quincy, Stoughton and Braintree. Our pick up area is constantly evolving- if you live in a town that is not listed above, we may still be able to pick up your books. Send us a message!

We accept books, records (45s, LPs and 78s), CDs and video games (both retro and current).

Although Boston Book Removal is a free service, gratuities for drivers are gratefully accepted.

*Please note that we do NOT accept encyclopedia sets, law sets or academic journals. We are also unable to take large collections of children’s books or romance novels. Furthermore, we do not accept cassettes, VHS tapes, DVDs/Blu-ray, stereo equipment or electronics.*
